Trunk or Treat in the News

Trunk or Treat was a hit this year - thank you to donors, volunteers, and families! The 59th Cake Bake: Half Batch, Full Fellowship

The 59th Cake Bake took place the week of October 21. The goal was half-batch of 820 cakes. Though there are half the volunteers - the smell of the cake, the clatter of trucks and volunteers moving supplies into the church, and the chatter of physically distanced volunteers mixing, prepping, baking, cooling, wrapping (and all of the other tasks) under the watchful eye of the Cake Bake Boss, Lorna McNeil, is a welcome experience, as Cake Bake was cancelled last year. The Satellite Food Bank Turns 1!

Following the summer of 2020, when Grace provided fresh produce, gift cards, and nutritious lunches to Connaught School families in the Grace parking lot every Thursday, members of the Engagement & Service Committee met with representatives form the Calgary Food Bank with a view to beginning a Satellite Food Bank at Grace Church. A formal Partnership Agreement with the Calgary Food Bank were developed and approved by Session in September, 2020.
