Join in on March 2 for Ashes On The Go and a Simple Ash Wednesday Service in Grace’s South Parking Lot.

Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent and we are marked with a cross of ashes is mean to help us remember to turn towards God’s presence, creativity, and ability to transform life. Grace is hosting Ashes On The Go and a Simple Ash Wednesday Service outside as a reminder that God’s presence, creativity, and ability to transform life is present in daily life and outside the doors of church. The mark of ashes reminds us of our need for God in our daily lives and that God meets us in our daily lives, cares for us, and invites us care for our neighbours by doing justice, loving kindness, and walking humbly with God.

Schedule:

Ashes On The Go is a time for people to drive or walk-up, share a time of prayer, and receive the Mark of Ashes. This will happen from:

• Ashes on the Go: 11:30 a.m. to approximately 12:05 p.m. rain or shine
• Simple Service: 12:15 pm to 12:45 pm Prayers, readings and receiving the Mark of Ashes. If it is nice outside the service will be held in Grace’s South Parking Lot (a number of chairs will be set out for seating). If the weather isn’t cooperating, the simple service will be moved inside to Grace’s Chapel.
• Ashes on the Go: 12:55 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. rain or shine

Please note that physical distancing and face masks will be required for the Simple Ash Wednesday Service regardless of where it is held.
