Fall Bible Study: Week 3

Fall Bible Study: Week 3

The Bible tells us, in many ways, there is a rhythm or flow to how God has ordered creation. A part of God’s ordering is a day that meant for rest. A sabbath day, to restore and renew us, and to restore and renew our trust in God’s provision for us.

God calls this day of rest “holy.” Yet we live in a time where productivity and busyness are often used to gauge personal worth and where phrases like “I’ll sleep when I am dead” are tossed around. This study is mean to help us remember that rest is both “holy” and necessary as well as explore ways that we can reconnect with the idea that Sabbath can be and is a healing, important, and life-giving spiritual practice.
