Join us at GraceFull Seniors on January 18, 2018, for Take Care, Be Aware!

About the presentation, from the Calgary Seniors Resource Society:

Seniors continue to be a prime target of fraud and financial abuse. In 2015, the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre received in excess of 20,000 complaints of Identity Theft and Fraud and over 40,000 complaints of Mass Marketing Fraud. The total dollar loss exceeded $69 million.

For this reason, Calgary Seniors Resource Society has created a complimentary fraud awareness program for seniors called Take Care, Be Aware! A Conversation about Fraud Prevention and Financial Abuse. The focus of the program is to educate seniors about fraud awareness and financial abuse, and discuss what steps they can take to protect themselves. Our volunteers will present information on current frauds, red flags to watch for and host an interactive conversation with your group. Presentations are approximately one hour in length but can be tailored to the time available.

Calgary Seniors is a non-profit organization that provides a variety of innovative and much-needed programs and services to seniors throughout the city with the goals to end senior isolation and help seniors remain safe and independent in their homes as long as possible.
