Reflections for Lent
During Lent, it is customary for followers of Jesus to reflect with humility and penitence on the deepest questions of their faith. In conversation with Shusako Endo’s novel “Silence” (and the recent film version by Martin Scorcese) these Lenten reflections explore the meaning of Christian baptism, the cost of discipleship, and what it means to pray in the way of the cross.
March 5 – “A Baptism Like His” (Mark 10:32-40)
March 19 – “The Heart of the Matter” (Luke 14:25-33)
April 2 – “Where are you, God?” (Psalm 69)
These Evening Grace: Reflections For Lent will be lead by Terry Fach. Terry Fach has been the campus chaplain at Ambrose University since 2013. He was the planter and pastor of a Nazarene church for sixteen years, and before that taught philosophy at Nazarene University College (now Ambrose). He is married to Ruth and they are the parents of two adult daughters, Michaela and Miranda.
